Welcome to Higher Witheven Farm Cottages

If you need to relax and unwind then this is the perfect place - no traffic noise, expansive views across open farm land, private gardens and the occasional bleating of a new born lamb in spring, plus the chance to explore the wonderful countryside and beaches that are on your doorstep.

If you need a relaxing base from which to explore the delights that Cornwall and North Devon have to offer, from stunning beaches (Watergate Bay, Trebarwith Strand) to castles at Tintagel and big family attractions (think steam railways, The Eden Project, National Maritime Museum), or just the beautiful surrounding countryside and Bodmin Moor, then Higher Witheven is perfectly located.

Lovingly converted from original stone farm buildings, Swallows Nest and Barn Owl are two beautifully furnished adjoining properties each with 2 bedrooms sleeping 2-6 guests in style and comfort. Both cottages offer polished wooden floors, vaulted ceilings, comfortable furnishings and en suite bathrooms. Each cottage boasts a private and secure lawned garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ.

Higher Witheven is set in a tranquil rural location at the end of a country lane on a 130-acre sheep and cattle farm in Canworthy Water and within a few minutes drive of the rugged breathtaking beauty of the North Cornish coast. The bustling towns of Bude and Launceston (the gateway to Cornwall) are within easy reach for restaurants, gift shops, leisure and shopping (Morrisons and Tesco 24hr).

The wild beauty of Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor or the tree-lined riverside trails and cycle paths are all easily accessible. The famous surfing beach at Widemouth Bay is only a short drive (8 miles) and closer is the charming beach at Crackington Haven, perfect for rock pooling and lazy days watching the gulls gliding above the waves - and sneaking off for a Cornish clotted-cream icecream!

“Thank you for a warm welcome and your lovely last 4 eggs (in demand)! Explored the beautiful countryside and coast. Enjoyed one of the walks in your book. Got good weather and went to the Eden Project for a full day out.”
